To master one's medium is the first fundamental step upon the creative path and can take many years of experimenting with diversity of form and problem solving to become accomplished. When the artist reaches this point he can then expand comfortably into his creative cycle and explore fully the 'essence' of his studies and bring forth works of art that will inspire countless people and enrich their lives.
There is little to compare with the thrill and excitement of a new concept, idea or design and then watching it evolve as it is developed. It is very hard if not almost impossible to fully conceive what the outcome of an initial design will be when it is completed as inevitably there are unforeseeable variables that will deviate from the original concept. This reality has in part led me to question myself; Can I really take credit for what comes through me as 'my idea' or am I just the conduit or messenger if you like, to the creative power of the universe that I am connected to as part of the whole?
